         Research Interests

 

  • Development of new synthetic methods based on cationic electrocyclization reactions, particularly, generation of unconventional electrocyclization precursors, which are exploited in Nazarov cyclization and cycloaddition reactions (inter and intra) such as [3+2], [3+3], [4+2], [4+3] in cascade process by sequential addition of electrophiles/dipolarophiles), study on the substitution effect on cationic electrocyclization reaction precursors to control the regioselectivity of the products.

  • Development of new cascade/tandem/domino reactions (one-pot multi-reaction processes), synthetic strategies, and synthetic methods for the bioactive molecules, total synthesis of natural products and its derivatives including artificially designed analogs.
