Research Interests

Development of new synthetic methods based on cationic electrocyclization reactions, particularly, generation of unconventional electrocyclization precursors, which are exploited in Nazarov cyclization and cycloaddition reactions (inter and intra) such as [3+2], [3+3], [4+2], [4+3] in cascade process by sequential addition of electrophiles/dipolarophiles), study on the substitution effect on cationic electrocyclization reaction precursors to control the regioselectivity of the products.

Development of new cascade/tandem/domino reactions (one-pot multi-reaction processes), synthetic strategies, and synthetic methods for the bioactive molecules, total synthesis of natural products and its derivatives including artificially designed analogs.
